Drop the green flag!

Well, here we go....



Like many folks, I have always wanted to write something that others might like. (Which is WEIRD, because English was NOT one of my favorite classes!) A book, story, heck even an article in the paper would be cool. The closest I came was a few letters to the editor in my local newspaper. What a thrill to see my own work for all to see! Hours were spent getting the words just right and organizing thoughts so they made some sense. One made enough of an impact on a local reporter that I had my 1:57 of fame on the news. That was a long time ago and I came no closer to realizing a true published work. I have a list of over 30 ideas to write about, with one started. The process is fun, but with our lives these days, it's hard to take the time to finish. One of these days....



I heard of this blogging stuff for a while but paid no attention, since I am never one that goes with the flow from the start. Seems I just wait until the fad part fades, and then, if something makes sense, I'll jump in. Well, it's time to jump. Even if no one notices, it will be worth the effort. I'm not sure what direction this will take, but like Yogi says, if there comes a fork in the road, we'll take it!
