I was considering an attempt to make some money writing. The easiest way would be to “moneytize” this blog. It would be nice to get paid doing something I love to do. Some folks earn a decent living doing the same thing. Sounds perfect.

I debated for a while and finally went thru the easy process of putting ads on this site. Now I just wait for the money to roll in, right?

I saw the ads for two whole days and pulled them off. I couldn't do it. The products were not things I used, I couldn't pick the ones I wanted to place, and I just don't want to be associated with just anything to earn a nickle. While I am NOT a celebrity and no one cares which kind of sneaker I wear, I will not get involved unless I am all in. I won't promote anything unless I use and love it. Not only that, but it made the screen look awful. I don't know if you realize, but I take some time making this easy to read and in being presentable. How successful I am is in your eyes.

This begs the question, if a company were to approach YOU about being a spokesperson, and it was something you DIDN'T use or believe in, would you do it for the money? If you used and loved your iPhone and Android came calling, would you promote them? Would it depend on how much? How about being paid in credits to Dave and Busters?

I wouldn't say it was wrong if someone accepted the compensation and didn't lose one minutes sleep. We all are different. I AM saying, for me, the spirit of this is pure... and unfortunately non-profit!
