Long, long ago
we thought this war was won
Equality for all
no matter where you're from
Sadly, even today
we think we're so enlightened
Many are still angry
No, they're just a little frightened
Afraid they will find
the many peoples that they hate
Are just like them
with a slightly different coat of paint
Sins of the past
will always be standing in our way
Unless we find
we're not black or white, but grey
Because we're born
from all those in our distant past
Mix it all together
and maybe, just maybe, humanity will last
MLK had a dream
to see us happy, healthy, and at peace
Working hand in hand
towards a "heaven on earth", at least
It's not too late
to do your part in changing minds
Everything is better
when we are REALLY color blind
Closer every day
living what Abe Lincoln meant
You don't believe me?
Just look at our fine President!
