EXCERPT FROM A PERFECT NIGHT....

The “look” just happened. I recognized it, not right away, because I was too busy being dazzled ... looking into my eyes, reading my mind as I think of how lucky I am to have her want to be a part of this journey I call my life. She smiles that knowing smile and I see she is thinking the same thing. How could we both find someone that fits so right, means so much, and makes forever seem too short?

All the world melts away as we take a step closer, time moving so slowly that I can feel the blood moving from my heart to my fingertips as I touch her face. I never tire of seeing her, thinking of her, remembering her, wanting her, and yes, feeling her. Her cheek welcomes my hand as I caress it, barely brushing her hair aside, to reveal her full beauty....

As her eyes close, her mind opens to the growing fire inside. She touches my hand and guides it around her neck, as my arm slides around her waist, pulling her gently, closer, feeling her curves pressing flat to my body....

Why can't we be closer? I want to be closer.... until we are one....

Impatience almost gets the best of me, but I recover enough that she doesn't notice. She's enjoying the moment, our priceless time together, absorbed by the emotion of love and reacting to our closeness, beating hearts, soft skin, lips ready for a kiss that will never end...

The affect on me is the same as the first time.... A dizziness not experienced anywhere but in her arms. We could stay here in bliss, yet the allure of more draws us to explore each other as if we had never met. Fingers sensing every inch of her, wanting to touch every inch, tongue wanting to taste every inch....
