25,000

Another wow.... I put this in perspective - Huffington Post gets 110,000 sets of eyes every MONTH. My dreams won't allow me to think THOSE numbers will EVER happen!

The surprises keep coming though. I say it every time I make note of page views to this site. I don't know exactly WHO is clicking on, but it's as if the entire town of Golden, Colorado has stopped by for a visit. Very humbling...

I did a posting when 20,000 was recorded [here] that looked back at previous milestones. That was in July of this past year. Only six months have gone by and now we are at 25,000. Nice. What did it take to get there?

Well..... I posted 23 times, but more importantly, have seen the influence of social media firsthand. It made a tremendous spike in the number of people who can find this site. I've been using Facebook the past few months and Twitter since April. I thought about my lack of enthusiasm in adding my voice to the screaming masses (as in "DEFRIENDING FACEBOOK") but in the end, I couldn't give myself enough reason to NOT do it. Plus I am actually enjoying the new exposure to life in the 'teens. And I'm tired of talking to myself.

I posted about movies I love and money. Writers, Trekkers, single Moms and MY Mom. Disposability, blueseyness had their part in our conversation, even IF they aren't even real words. I had bad days and significant days, (August 9) and significant dates (New Years 2016). I have come to realize that it isn't so much WHAT we talk about, as long as we discuss something that makes sense and is relevant.

I continue to try and make everyone see that they have more control of their life, more ability to change it for the better, and the wisdom to accept themselves and their challenges as a continued work in progress. I use my experience to show everyone that even a dum-dum like me can find happiness and a place of purpose. If I can, you certainly can (much easier I would guess).
