I was going through my "drafts" folder tonight and found this and chuckled one more time. It was from last year and I never heard back....
A funny thing ... happened on the way to doing what a LOT of us do, but REALLY hate to admit, even after the effects of alcohol firmly take hold ... something so awful we won't mention it among strangers, friends, or family.... something done only in the dark with the door locked and blinds closed and under the covers.... yes.... I......
...did an internet search... for me.
I didn't expect anything to come up because I used Bing, a dreaded Microsoft product I avoid as much as I can. (GOOGLE is MUCH more thorough!) But curiosity got the best of me and I did it. As I looked at everyone BUT me (I requested images and I was in ONE), the first thought was, how in the world do THESE folks relate to a search for yours truly????
In no particular order, a random guy named Thomas, a random baby named Thomas, the Steve Thomas Blog (Where is MINE!!?????), an announcement that Peaches Geldof had her first child (huh??), Thomas Kinkade paintings, and other hardly-related pictures of anything but moi.
...and then YOU popped up. Like sunshine through a thunderstorm, your eyes met mine and all these thoughts came out! I have been listless and uninspired to write anything meaningful (maybe this isn't either but it at least made me laugh). OF COURSE I HAD to find out who is this lovely young lady, who so obviously is connected somehow, because Bing says so! I couldn't find anything that could tie us together...
sigh.........
Keep doing what you are doing.... Obviously you are bringing joy to many that need as much as they can get. Since I got entertained by YOU today, maybe I can return the favor....

This is my favorite topic to write about, maybe you will get a laugh or two....
Thanx for being there
Thomas
There are times when we do things because we hope for something. There are times we do things because we have to do something. And there are times, like above, you do it, just so you don't say "What-if".... The woman I responded to was a stranger that piqued my interest, not only by her looks, but the words she had written about nothing. After all, there are a lot of pretty people running around, but not all of them make me want to write....
Being single has it's challenges, not the least of which is meeting someone who thinks you are as cool as you think they are. I'll admit to having my eyes open but unlike in the past, I am not dwelling on my singledom, my brief bouts of loneliness, or the dream of finding HER.
If she comes, I'll be ready.
If she doesn't, I'll be happy.
"If she comes, I'll be ready. If she doesn't, I'll be happy." Love that! I'm going to have to borrow it..with a little pronoun change. ;-)
